Established in 1956, Ponggol Choon Seng is synonymous with the best in the seafood business. Life for the restaurant began at the Ponggol End Jetty, in a small corner kopitiam on the right hand side of the road where buses make their 3-point turn.
Amid the fumes and bustle of the bus interchange, Ponggol Choon Seng began to embark on a memorable journey of creating our own Famous Mee Goreng.
Situated by the sea, Ponggol Choon Seng obtained the freshest seafood daily and henceforth, the Famous Chilli Crab was born. As time went by, other crowd favourites like Ngo Hiang, Prawn Pancake, Crispy Baby Squids and Black Pepper Crayfish were created.
